Wit Woo!!

So tonight we had a few different wildlife subjects Jays, Kestrels, Barnowls, Crows and Herons, The lighting was awesome for us photographers and definately helped with catching Mr & Mrs barn owl today.

Jays in mid flight, Corvidae is a cosmopolitan family of oscine passerine birds that contains the crows, ravens, rooks, jackdaws, jays, magpies, treepies, choughs, and nutcrackers

Then a Kestrel showed up along side the Owls both trying to get the Mole's / Vole's in the field

Then as I looked to the left side of the field the female owl was there :)

Sitting and resting for a while on the posts in the field

Before leaping into the air on the mission to hunt once again

As she flew past he gave me a glance before turning and carrying on looking around

Then we saw her partner turn up and both of them were quartering the field having loads of success.

Whilst over head saw the Heron gliding over with ease.

Meanwhile the female owl landed and had a bit of a rest in the grass banking

Then off again resuming business in the fading light

Whilst the moon in the current stage of Waxing Gibbous began to pass over the night sky, meant it was time to retreat back home and leave the owls alone again to do their thing.

Hope you guys had an awesome day and enjoyed the 5 min Blog

Steve
