A morning walk, out at Harwes Farm CIC

The fantastic owners of Harwes Farm up in the outskirts of Colne, have kindly given me permission to go and explore their amazing forrest when ever I want, Check out their Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/HarwesFarmCIC they do some fantastic events for charity and are always going onto facebook live, so worth a follow and a watch.

Anyway getting back onto today's walk which involved wellies and losing a welly I spotted a Lapwing and robin basking in the middays sun.before I set off on my little walk.

Walking into the countryside and I just had to negotiate the path through a gaggle of geese (Nice guys actually albeit a touch on the loud side)

ree

Continuing my walk past these geese I stumbled upon some awesome iron cutouts of some Hares, Curlews, Squirrals and some other animals (Dont want to spoil the surprise, this made the trip up there worth it after just seeing that :) )

A little further down the lane.......

Heads up now for a pair of Buzzards flying over me, To be fair I 1st heard them before I saw them.

If you want to know more about Buzzards or even hear one then click the link below.

Walking through the forrest now and taking some photos of the scenery, It's like it hasn't been touched for years a true Jurassic feeling to the area.

Also found this hide deep in the trees, Thanks guys it's awesome and i'm sure I'll will be seeing this again soon, Despite losing a welly whilst trying to get to it Ha Ha. Might even put up some feeders

ree

So I had to go inside and see if the wildlife would show itself, And my god in the space of a few minutes I was visited by a Chaffinch and Nuthatch who both seemed to just chill and let me capture their good sides

Just time for a quick selfie in the forrest :)

ree

So the highlight for me today was spotting the young roe deer free to do whatever they want, which is how it should be

ree

So this chap ran but then stood and watched me for a while before going on his merry way

ree

So at that point I headed back home and just before I got back to the car was confronted with the ever eternal question............
