It's a cold one!!!

With flakes of snow descending in the air, the challenge wasn't so much photographing the owl tonight, but to stay warm.

2 pairs of Socks, 2 pairs of Jackets, Snood, Gloves, and a quick jog around the field (Ok maybe a little lie on the last one).

Swooping through the wintry conditions never phased the owl tonight, in-fact if anything the wind helped her glide through the air at a much slower speed than normal, looking for her food

Happy days were here again when she caught a glimpse of a Mouse/Vole in the long grass of the field.

With a twist of her wings she set a direct course to her prey! Success another capture!!

I swear if you look in the picture above she's actually smiling.

Flying back to her barn to rest for a while was the sign it was time for us to leave again and let her do her thing in peace.
