Both Barn Owls Now Out Hunting

Tonight we saw both female and male Barn Owls out hunting.

So maybe it wont be long till we see or hear Owlets close by?? Pictured below is the female owl taking back some food to stash for later.

Again both Owls are aware that we are in the field with them but are still quite happy to quarter the field as normal

Having a rest every now and then, and looking around when they land just to check the area.

Flying past us her face lights up in the evenings sunset which was an awesome sight to see

and then back to just sitting down for a while just resting for a minute.

Flying quite high she checks the floor for prey,

Then one more flight past the trees,

And then as quickly as they both arrived, they gave us one more glance then headed off.
